Rates of COVID-19 Cases and Deaths by Vaccination Status
DC is leading multiple studies that robustly monitor vaccine effectiveness. CDC is also working with a number of jurisdictions to monitor vaccine breakthrough cases over time.
This page displays rates of cases and deaths among fully vaccinated and unvaccinated people reported to CDC from multiple jurisdictions.
Trends in COVID-19 Vaccine Confidence in the US
CDC is providing information on COVID-19 vaccine confidence to supplement vaccine administration data. These data represent trends in vaccination status and intent by week and by demographics. Percentages displayed in the charts below represent the percent of people in each vaccination status and intent group. Trends in behavioral indicators represent the percent of unvaccinated people responding to each of the indicators by intent status and by week.
Health Misinformation Reports and Publications
During the COVID-19 pandemic, people have been exposed to an abundance of information from a large number of sources. Amid all this information, many people have also been exposed to health misinformation: information that is false, inaccurate, or misleading according to the best available evidence at the time. Misinformation has caused confusion and led people to decline COVID-19 vaccines, reject public health measures such as masking and physical distancing, and use unproven treatments.

Although health misinformation is not a recent phenomenon, in recent years it has spread at unprecedented speed and scale, especially online. But, together, we have the power to build a healthier information environment where we make more informed decisions about our health and the health of our loved ones and communities.
Post-COVID Conditions
Although most people with COVID-19 get better within weeks of illness, some people experience post-COVID conditions. Post-COVID conditions are a wide range of new, returning, or ongoing health problems people can experience four or more weeks after first being infected with the virus that causes COVID-19. Even people who did not have COVID-19 symptoms in the days or weeks after they were infected can have post-COVID conditions. These conditions can present as different types and combinations of health problems for different lengths of time.

Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) is a specialized technical institution of the African Union established to support public health initiatives of Member States and strengthen the capacity of their public health institutions to detect, prevent, control and respond quickly and effectively to disease threats. Africa CDC supports African Union Member States in providing coordinated and integrated solutions to the inadequacies in their public health infrastructure, human resource capacity, disease surveillance, laboratory diagnostics, and preparedness and response to health emergencies and disasters.

Established in January 2016 by the 26th Ordinary Assembly of Heads of State and Government and officially launched in January 2017, Africa CDC is guided by the principles of leadership, credibility, ownership, delegated authority, timely dissemination of information, and transparency in carrying out its day-to-day activities. The institution serves as a platform for Member States to share and exchange knowledge and lessons from public health interventions.
European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control
At the request of Member States, data on the daily number of new reported COVID-19 cases and deaths by EU/EEA country will be available to download from 11 March 2021. ECDC will continue to publish weekly updates on the number of cases and deaths reported in the EU/EEA and worldwide every Thursday. The daily and weekly data are available as downloadable files in the following formats: XLSX, CSV, JSON and XML.
