Faculty Purchase Request

Both the physical and digital collections at the RCC Libraries are curated to support our college community members' education, professional growth, and well-being. Faculty know best what resources students need to meet their course outcomes, and we encourage faculty participation in collection development.

While our budget is not unlimited, we will consider all requests. At this time preference is given to materials that can be accessed remotely, but we are still purchasing physical materials when they're needed to directly support student learning.

Faculty Senate Collection

The library curates a growing Faculty Senate collection of materials purchased to support instructors. The books are shelved at Redwood Library but can be placed on hold to be picked up at any RCC or JCLS branch. We are always open to suggestions for purchase if there are materials you would like us to add.

Library Instruction

Instruction session or custom resource for your course

Library instruction sessions can be conducted in the classroom or computer lab. We can also assist with handouts and course-specific research guides. A direct connection between library instruction and coursework provides the best learning outcomes.

To schedule library instruction or request a custom resource for your class, please email librarian@roguecc.edu and include the following information:

  • copy of the assignment
  • proposed time for library instruction, if applicable
  • any specific content you'd like us to cover (PICO, using public databases, etc.)
